This image depicts a herd of mothers and lambs making their way to the field for the first time in spring, with bright sunlight streaming throgh the trees and a warm light casting across the hills.  Done using a palette of yellows and greens gives a sense of warmth in the painting, a mixture of thick and some thin applications of paint using brush and palette knife create depth and movement.
